PCA and iPhone Aps

Lord help us. . . PCA is pimping it's members for $4.95 for an ap to:

• Find Porsche dealers and Porsche related service providers using GPS or zip code
• Find tracks closest to you using GPS or zip code
• Find out what PCA region you are in using GPS or zip code, then link to that region’s website
• View events happening in PCA's 139 regions
• Store your PCA membership number
• Store your PCA.org login
• Renew your PCA membership
• Join PCA

Yep. Sign me up. I can't do any of those things myself.

It's just stupid, just shows how ridiculous the club is.

Wine, cheese and tofu.

If there was ever a reason for an App to be free, this is sure the one.

Arrogant idiots! I used to belong to the CT Valley Chapter. They had a fall photo fest and would charge a fee to get in to the meeting, granted they served some food but that really pissed me off. All the other monthly meetings that were sponsored by independent Porsche service companies are free.

Most PCA members that I have met at anything other than track days a pompous a$$e$.

I am a PCA member. For years I stayed in the club because it allowed me to get cheap insurance from Leland.

I would like to see an app so that if I were on a road trip and had an issue with my car, I could quickly get help finding a good towtruck/mechanic/etc to help me out. Maybe someone should create a Pelican App that would allow you to send out a distress beacon to local Pelicanites!

That would be well worth the $4.95
