Cleaning factory toolkit?

I use a product made by Zep. It is a Citrus degreaser in a pump spray bottle. You can get it at any Home Depot (if there is one around) If you have access to comercial cleaners Zep makes some stuff called Big Orange (aerosol form). Awesome stuff but don't let it sit too long.
I like your oxy-clean idea that stuff id really good on organics and doesn't seem to affect plastics that much. Anyone make their own jerkey out there? Works great for cleaning tose pesky dehydrator racks!

I would try some generic hand cleaner - something like GOOP. I bought some inexpensive store brand from Pep Boys that has no abrasive - it's almost like a lotion. I've used it successfully to remove grease from my nicer clothes that I had on after I had told my wife I'd be careful and had no intention of getting dirty Rub a generous portion on the inner liner cloth and work it in with a clean toothbrush. Wipe off residue with a damp rag. Reapply if needed.

Believe it or not, I actually work for the company that makes Oxi-Clean. We also make several other products including Orange Clean and Kaboom.

Oxi-Clean is designed to go after organic stains/messes so not the best thing for grease. One of the best uses for Oxi-Clean is cleaning carpets and fabrics. Oxi-Clean also takes out unpleasant odors from organic messes too.

To go after grease try Orange Clean. It is actually stronger than many citrus cleaners like Simple Green and smells much better. After they squeeze the juice out of oranges, they can press the oil from the peel. That oil is what is used in Orange Clean and contains natural terpines (spelling?). After they have squeezed the oil out then they squeeze whatever else they can get and call it limonene, which is what Simple Green uses I believe. (For truth in advertising, I'm a finance guy, not a chemical engineer)

Orange Clean is also available in a concentrate so you can mix it yourself. Strong for washing the undercarriage and engine on a filthy car, light for cleaning up the tools.

Large spray bottles of ready-to-use Orange Clean are available at Wal-Mart, Bed, Bath and Beyond. The concentrate is at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Well, I used the Orange Clean, not much difference/help against the imbedded grease/dirt. Certainly, not what I was hoping for.

I will try the Oxy-clean tonight. Then If that fails I will use the Soft-Scrub.

Recommended to me by a local concours guru...

Wurth citrus degreaser. It took a bit of work, but the greasy inside of my tool pouch came clean.

Also, use Blue Magic polish on your tools if they are a bit tarnished, they'll shine like new.

Dye the canvas backing black (nothing better than a black 911). My buddy did it and it turned out great. Never worry about keeping it clean anymore!!

Actually, to clean the pouch i'd try some brake parts cleaner. Works great on carpet stains and other grease locations. Just don't overdo it and rub it out quickly. Never ruined an Acura when I used to clean them!

Not my engine, just posting something black (Kiwior's 86). That heater stuff is all coming out this year. Jambo washer does a nice job of holding it in place!

That BIG washer on your heater fan, air duct is not stock and can be seen a mile away! Go to the dealer and change that eye sore.
