Dansk modifcation question
I've got an '87 3.2 with stock muffler, engine, etc. I have a lead on a used Dansk 1-in, 2-out muffler that I believe will fit my car (it's on an '86 at the moment). My question: The right-hand outlet/tip is a little bent and even looks to have been welded on crooked. I'm not crazy about modifying my valance. So I thought to myself, I wonder if rather than cut the valance and also unweld/reweld the right tip to make it straight, can I just have the right tip removed and the hole covered with a new piece of stainless? Does any know if the internals of a 1-in, 1-out Dansk are the same as a 2-out? Is this a bad idea to consider?
Thanks, Carl |

Carl,
The whole idea of changing the original muffler is to improve on the existing system ... I think performing surgery on a banged up well used muffler sort of defeats the whole purpose ! Just my opinion ![]() Cheers ! Phil
