Due to weather I'm going for this closer-to-home run. I've got summer tires and heat, but I plan on being snugly back in Santa Cruz for lunch instead of way up on the Russian River. See you all on 1/1/11.

My vote is for route #1

Here is a video going east on Pescadero Rd
http://galis.org/tmp/DSCN1847.AVI
(it will take a few minutes to load, its 330MB)
I don't have a proper camera mount but hope you find it interesting

Per the query earlier in the thread, I drive Skyline, Sand Hill, Page Hill, Kings Mt, La Honda, Pescadero and/or Alpine a few times a month.

-George

I was just out in my Carrera driving from Santa Cruz to Boulder Creek via Empire Grade, a bit south of the proposed route. There were numerous small slides and tree work was in-progress in a couple of places, along with quite a bit of active run-off with the potential of black ice. Nothing impassable, but I kept my right foot nice and gentle on both throttle and brake, and didn't gun it through any blind corners. Keep it sane and the conditions are perfect for a model that won the Monte Carlo Rally...

I was thinking about a New Years run but unfortunately I do not have a street legal Porsche. Can I bring something else? If this is a Porsche only gig no problem .

If it's not too late, I would love to join in on the fun. I participated last year and it was a blast.

You can bring anything you want, no problem. (Except a Honda or a black Audi.)
