I will be there with my son. We may bring our Turbo and our new to us 05 SL600 (it's a twin turbo as well).
Route 1 gets our vote! See you there |

I already stated I'm going. Going to bring my GF's 12 son. His eye's got pretty big when I brought it up. Were both looking forward to it.
As for the routes, I like 1 & 2. But if I had to pick, I would chose number 2. I think it's a nice blend of sporty mountain roads and coastal cruising.

Looks like you guys should have a pretty good turnout. Be sure to post pics from your drive. We in the North Bay will do the same!

Route 1 for me, although if it's a fantastic sunny day, a bit of coastal driving would be nice with a stop overlooking the ocean for regroup photo etc.
But no way do I want to drive route 2 as driving down to Half Moon just sucks. Maybe we could add a 10 mile ride down south on highway 1 and then drive back to San Gregorio and continue that route. But in the end of the day, I'm really flexible with any route taken. I just want a good breakfast like last year

I'm the "Light Yellow" coupe, car # 3 in the first pic of the thread (by the trees) & dead center in Logan's pic.
I'm in for this year, but will leave the coupe at home & bring my GP Wht 75 Targa with 3.2 instead. I would not be able to make a drive north of the GG Bridge....to far from Santa Cruz for a morning run. Hope we have weather like last year !!!!!! Can someone 'add' me to the list ??? THX

logan2z and I drive these roads fairly often, from Half Moon Bay, along skyline, all the way down to Morgan Hill, Hecker pass and back to highway 9.
The back roads around Morgan Hill are pretty sweet, old San Jose road is great, there's so many good loops driving in the Santa Cruz mountains. In fact we only really came across one bad road all year, and that was a road that nearly turned into a footpath, due to the previous winter's damage and mudslides. Anyway, this year I'll be hitching a ride with logan2z as my car is out of action, until I get my DME rebuilt. So one less car I'm afraid, but the same amount of participants. Merry Christmas to all and see you bright and early on New Years Day. Cheers Matt
