While we're waiting for those pictures to flip upright, here's a set of pictures with a lot of words...that I can't read. But there's an article about my shop this week in the German paper Auto Bild.

I guess the car has now made it back to the homeland, in a way.

If you look above the sink, you might see me ordering out for pizza.

Funny that you are in PA. I moved here from PA, although I'm actually from Wisconsin originally.
My family has a dairy farm not far from there in bromptonville. Nice garage totally jealous.

My garage is a real mess with too much stuff, and I need to build some more cupboards/cabinets.
The engine harness building takes up one bench most of the time.
Lots of room though.....

Jack, you scarred me for a second, I thought you had sold your car off to Germany! Q, how do you keep your garage clean? Seriously, I can't seem to keep the dirt down in mine. Just wondering if you have any suggestions. Keep on driving, Mark

Dennis: but you have the SPACE in there!
in case you need to focus work an one car, you can park the rest outside and go ahead.

then you have theroretically 3 areas for work:
- one to strip the car
- one free sparepart workarea
- and to the right you can even set up a paint area

that's more space many of us have.
the "mess" is secondary for a "genious" ;-))

That would be a hard place to say good-bye to.

I do have one big tip, since I am an extraordinarly messy worker when I'm involved in a project. If you go through the place once, and make sure every tool has a place where it's supposed to be stowed, and there isn't 'loose storage' sitting on the floor at all, then you should be able to get the place 'back to zero' in a short amount of time. It's easy to clean up when everything has a destination. It's a very slow process when you're having to make decisions about cleaning up along the way. It feels like a massive waste of time when you go through the place the first time, but it pays off in the number of times you don't waste an hour going out to buy a replacement tool because you've misplaced one. And it pays off in being able to do all sorts of jobs more efficiently because you're not stepping over pieces of old jobs, or stuff that's taking up space on the floor, while you're working.

That said, sometimes different types of jobs simply overlap. This is new rear shocks and a backyard deck and steel pergola all happening at the same time.

Like I said, I'm not a neat worker while it's happening.

Obviously he has storage somewhere else as the last time I saw that garage he had a silver 512BB in there.. I've also seen a clip with another car. Hey or maybe they just like to use his cool fun-house for photo-shoots! I think he's an Architect by trade. Sweet place none the less!
