Anyone have experience with TEC II

I am still mapping out the options for supercharging my SC this coming year. I won't be doing an SOK kit, but rather a custom setup. I will use a pro shop for the machine work.....In the process I will convert the car to EFI. I am looking at a setup offered by clewett (www.clewett.com) that provides the intake from a 3.2 and the TEC II engine management system for around $2300.

Anyway the question is does anyone have any experience with the TEC II Engine management system. While Juan and Mark H have inspired my madness I won't be going to the lengths these gentlemen have. I'm looking for a system that is easy to program and reliable and on the simpler side to install.

Any input would be appreciated...and yes this project is way over my head for now..but most of what I've accomplished in life is a direct result of being too stupid to know that I can't do it.

Thanks

Jeff,

you can find alot of information about TEC2's on miata forums. It seems that TEC's are commonly used for performance enhanced miata's and such. I just sold an autox miata that had a TEC2 on it. I have been intrigued about putting one of these on my 911 3.0 as well.

Search the archives, plenty of talk about these setups,....
The key is which software you use with the system.

The new TEC³ is now out. Same price as TEC II.

Or at least according to Electromotive, I called them seeing if they'd discount a TEC II and was told no, so I'd wait for the TEC³.
