I have used Fischer for anything I couldn't / didn't have time to do myself.

They are just outside Fox River Grove towards Barrington on 14.

Since you have a 73, hands down Larry Marzanno. He works out of his house and is an awesome mechanic that specializes in early 911's. Super nice, easy to deal with and really into detail.

Sol at Perfect Power in Buffalo Grove has been working on these cars for a long long time. I'm sure he could help you out.

I use Euroquipe in St. Charles, but Fisher and Perfect Power are also good.

I strongly recomend you give Larry a call (815-713-5190). He is the best I have seen and his rates are very reasonable. I live in NW Indiana and he is the only mechanic that will work on my 2 early 911s.

You won't be disappointed.

Larry lives in spring grove, I live in chicago and it was worth the drive.

Larry's place is where you need to go. I second Tobluforyou and Fryardds comments and all three of us speak from experience with Larry. While I have had some work done by Euroquip, their focus (admittedly) is not on early cars. Definitely a good shop, though.
