Jim, great to see that you are back in a 911!

Highly recommended if you are looking for an alternative grille. Thanks again, Al!! On to the pics...

jim,
Great to meet you! Your 993 is awesome!. you have a little retro-cool vibe going on....combined with the very beautiful, more modern 993 lines. I like it.
Al

Somebody photoshop some Fiske Profil-5 or 10 (black) on Jim's 993. and add a little nose down stance/attitude.

Have you ever made grilles to for the early turbo tails? i.e. where there is a smaller rear grille in addition to the main one, such as here:

I have not made one of these yet, but I have just been contacted by another Pelican to provide one. I think that this will be a very cool look, while retaining functionality. If you are interested, let me know.

I have made grilles for front mounted oil coolers.....I expect that the smaller Turbo grilles will be somewhat equivalent.

regards,
Al

Agreed - it should look awesome. I'm a way off from doing mine (the fiberglass area for the rear grille needs to be cut out), so will wait to see how the first one looks.

Looks really good! Question is, how much water gets in there when it rains

Just as much as any factory grill without a rain tray, which is most of the cars out there.

Sorry, that was a bit of my 914 side coming out.

I addressed this question very early on. (roll back to the early posts)

My grille has slightly more open area than the stock grille...basically the equivalent open area as the stock 911 grille....so you should have no more or less issues with rain than the stock 911 offering.

regards,
al

PS: I live in the seattle area....somewhat legendary regarding the rain...I had this grille on my 77S and on my 73X for a couple of years and used them as daily drivers....no issues.

Hi Al,

I'm interested in one of these grills!
They look fantastic.

Only problem is, i'm in Australia. Could this be a first to send to Australia?

Will go on a ducktail for a 993.

Thank you
Simon

Please pm

Hey Al,

Can you make one to fit a 964? I would love to drop the weight of the rising tail and get a slightly different look.
