CIS Injection Questions: Pictures
I've got a 74 911 with an 81 3.0 CIS engine installed. Have 2 questions. See pictures below:
1. On the engine relay panel there are only 2 round relays. It appears that the front relay is tied into the warm-up and aux air regulators. What does the other relay control? 2. I've got the rubber intake boot removed. Looks like someone pluged the big crank case breather hose from the engine into one of the ports in this rubber boot. It was connected to the port in the middle of the boot (the one with tan tape on it) I've disconnected it from the intake boot and connected it to the big port on the right side engine wall beside the oil tank filler neck. What hose is supposed to be connected to the intake boot here? Thanks ![]() ![]() |

CIS air intake boot hose connections........
The two (2) hoses that are connected to the CIS air intake boot are:
hose for the auxiliary air regulator oil tank breather hose Please refer to photo (taken from MCA's photo library) below. ![]() Tony |

I can't be sure, but I think the other relay was only for the speed sensor in older cars and is not used in your year.

Agree, don't know what it was for, but my '73.5 CIS 911 targa only had 2 relays also.
