PPI in san fran
Can anyone recommend a good bay area shop (preferably SF or maybe east bay) for an early car PPI? I haven't got a specific car in mind @ this stage, but would like to touch base with a knowledgeable outfit.

The Stable in SF is who I used. Ask for Charles. Just make sure you tell them everything you want tested. For example, if you want a leak down test done let them know.
But he is very good about putting the car up on the rack and letting you pear under it with him, and he will explain everything and show you what is wrong if anything. |

In the East Bay, both Valhalla (Lafayette) and ******** Stuttgart (Moraga) are very good. I've also heard good things about Deutsche Motorsport (Concord) and Kahlers (Dubline) - though I've not used these last two personally.

Denny Kahler in Dublin is terrific plus he is a damn nice guy. The others I have also heard good things about.
