Basic question about jack stands

6 ton jack stands are fine for under the torsion bars but too big for anything else unless your floor jack lifts everything 4 feet in the air.

I also have the jack stands shown in post # 18 - I like the pin design which is pretty fail safe; also note the legs are secured at the base by the horizontal straps, making the whole thing pretty strong
