A little help on starter connection
Unfortunately - have a page missing from my bentley manual -
Getting ready to do some connections and didn't take a before picture... Is this right for connections? C or D for for yellow?? |
|
Just pulled mine off this weekend. IIRC "C" is yellow and your "A" and "B" are correct. I can double check my "before" picture when I get home.

The B terminal is the junction connection for the red alternator output wire (engine compartment) and the long positive cable from the battery (the negative cable in the trunk is grounded) - plural if you have multiple batteries. When the solenoid energizes, it creates an internal connection between A and B. Same result as connecting yellow wire connector to B, in effect what the ign. switch does in the "start" position. Before you play with these wire connections, make sure you first disconnect the battery ground cable(s). Hope this helps, Sherwood |
Thanks Sherwood!
