Bob Kontak 11-05-2011 02:08 PM

Good for a tenth in the quarter.

Winter 11-05-2011 02:21 PM

I let some more oil drip out of the engine onto the floor of my garage. . . .

oh snap 11-05-2011 02:22 PM

Jerome74911S 11-05-2011 02:24 PM

been wondering how much oil we really need:eek:
. seriously though, i always fill up after the first quart, but one wonders in an endurance race when does delivery get comprimised?

It would be easy to make a funny response to that, but actually it's a good question now that I think about it. Some racers on here will know.

Jbp 11-05-2011 02:42 PM

Went to the gym and lost 4 pounds :=)

Walt Fricke 11-05-2011 03:57 PM

I'm adding a Porsche crest decal to the hood of my race car. That will add back a fraction of the ounces I have saved elsewhere, but nowhere nearly as much as the proper enameled crest on a truely stock car. Which disappeared in a crash some time back.

germanfan 11-05-2011 04:08 PM

good idea! what decal exactly? source? love to see it installed

germanfan 11-05-2011 04:17 PM

ok,ok.
so i am excitable. got bit by the light bug a month ago. 475 off the car so far, getting harder to find places to save. i still like the idea.

DanielDudley 11-05-2011 06:48 PM

Wouldn't that be a negative loss?

village idiot 11-05-2011 08:36 PM

Installed a Vosstek pedal set into the RS impostor. Not sure if it made it any lighter. But between drilling the holes to mount them and the removal of the stock rubber pads, it's probably a wash;)

Walt Fricke 11-06-2011 10:10 PM

Our host will happily sell you three different sizes of Porsche crest decals.

twistoffat 11-06-2011 10:34 PM

Left my wife at home. Its amazing the difference 200lbs does to acceleration and handling

Flieger 11-06-2011 10:37 PM

Ouch! You sure that is 200 pounds? :D

tazzieman 11-06-2011 10:44 PM

Swapped the stock Carrera tail for a FG Duck. Saved 17 lbs (AC already deleted)

bkreigsr 11-07-2011 04:55 AM

I deleted all the FM and three of the AM presets on my radio, then I took all the loose change out of the ashtray and installed an EZPass transmitter - probably a wash on that one.

germanfan 11-07-2011 05:03 AM

Rich Lambert 11-07-2011 05:10 AM

Ha!

If those where serious stations - covering heavy topics - I'm sure she is a bit faster now.

bkreigsr 11-07-2011 05:55 AM

three of the FM were heavy metal, and one of the AM was NPR.
Very heavy stuff. Bill K

bkreigsr 11-09-2011 03:09 AM

in addition to the work on the sound system and EZ pass, I started finalizing the bumper shock design...Bill K

I removed a micron of steel from the entire body using a wire wheel!

I assure you I only did this for weight savings

I only take my wife for rides on light days, so I also install a barometric pressure indicator in the engine compartment to find out when those days are...

mclmk8d 11-09-2011 06:20 AM
