Granville
Here are the answers to the above post!!!
#1 Fastcarfan there will be two stops on the Museum tour in the Columbus area the Friday of P2O! I know the owner if the museums very well. As a bonus we added a parts store with tons of NOS early Porsche parts, working on another store with more parts to visit! #2 Indyshark said Granville is another 3.5 hours further form Indy than Oxford. From Indianapolis to Granville it is 3 hours 15 minutes total. Oxford to Indy was 1hour 49 minutes total according to Yahoo maps. so it will be 1 hour and 25 minutes further but who drives that slow? We are starting the show one hour later and ending 30 minutes sooner so you will get home about the same time! Stay the night it will be well worth it!!! #3 Yes I ran my #64 Aase Brothers car at Mid Ohio this summer but also ran it at RR IV I will post in car video on the Aase sales site soon. PS we ran the car with Dave Aase RIP on the roof. |

Ron,
Did you get some horrified looks with the recently deceased Dave Aase strapped on the roof? ![]() Hope to see you (and the parts stash soon).

I think the goal is to make this more of an event. Give us the reason to drive a little farther and stay an extra day. In my experience, hanging out in the host hotel parking lot the night before looking at cars and drinking a bee....err soda... is often more fun than the actual event.

The American Motorcycle Association Hall of Fame Museum is in Pickering, Ohio about 15 miles away for those that like 2 wheels as much as 4. Vintage bikes.

I had a blast in Oxford. I can handle a 3 hour round trip, but 6 or 7 hours isn't fun, and I have family and friends in Cincy.
I understand why the event has to move. If Oxford isn't going to welcome us, you need to move to a more friendly location. |

P2o
Yes some people did not know of Dave Aase passing when they saw the sign. I just thought putting RIP on the roof of the Aase IMSA GTU car was the right thing to do. Dave was a friend of mine too.
Indy to Granville. I got my times from yahoo maps which I usually beat by 10 minutes per hour. Granville is just 9 miles off I 70 and easy to get to. Oxford was way off the beaten path. you can get a hotel for probably less than $70 and stay close, come to the friday night party and look at cars in the parking lot. there really are to many cars to just see in one day! Plus if you come Friday you can see the Museums, AMA museum, parts etc! Thanks Ron Thomas Chairperson |

Bump. Just registered and made reservations at the Granville Inn. I think she said that was the last room, so if you're interested in staying there I would call now. If nothing else maybe they can put you on a wait list. Had a great time last year, looking forward to it!

Who else is planning to be there next weekend. I cant wait!
Weather is looking promising. Long range forecast is for high 80's and sunny which after the heat we have been having will be comfy.
