Looks like mine too. Decent price. Ask if they have the 3" high by 6" long rubber pads for it. You'll want those.

When the previous owner put the lift on Kijiji I had responded right away and he had already had two people that had called about it. Both of them flaked and didn't show up to view it and I was next up. Had a flat deck tow pick it up and drop it at the garage. Easy and no one got hurt! I wish it came with the blocks because they are pretty expensive! I found a rubber base for a large pile on and cut it up and it works ok.

Guess I really scored with mine. Paid $850 delivered 20 miles to my garage and it came with the rubber blocks.
Of course that was 2 years ago when the economy first hit the bricks.... |

You got a deal. I picked mine up in Detroit. Getting it loaded and unloaded was a task.

I think I just bought myself an old Snap-On scissor lift.
![]() Could someone provide close up pics (or diagram) of where the lift contacts the body of the 911? Dennis (Timmy2) has 2 pics, but I would like to know the exact contact points. Thanks a million. |

I have an older Snap-on lift to. I went down to my local sporting goods store and bought 8 hocky pucks. They work great for rubber pads.

![]() when new the SnapOn came w/ 4x larger rubber blocks that go between the arms and the chasssis, on the right, the 4 on the left are for pinch welds for cars that need to be lifted on the pinchweld seams, pieces of 2x4 or hockey pucks can be used as well, the 4 steel ones in the middle are for 964/993 that have dedicated brackets welded on to the chassis oe. ![]()

Bill,
Thanks for the info. Are you able to drop the engine/tranny with the scissor lift position that way? I was asking since another thread mentioned that I ought to position the Snapon horizontally to make room. Again, thanks for the pics. |

No, I bought it just for brake and wheel work, I'll leave the big stuff to someone that knows what they are doing and has the muscle and eyes to do it.

I wouldn't lift a car that way, too unstable. I dropped an engine in a 964 with mine, about 8 years ago, don't remember any issues. Since sold the lift for what I paid, sorry I did. |
