A Quick Hello

so my wife gave birth to our first baby, a little girl on December 1st. What better way to celebrate than buying a 80's targa. A SC from 83 to be more precise and my first porsche. I am an aircooled enthusiast having previously owned 70's beetles and my first drive brought all of this back. No questions for now, although i am keenly reading baby seat threads (graco) and the ariel replacement ideas... hi all!

Nice car! But the wheel is on the wrong side. Bet you never heard that one before.

Enjoy the new ride.

Love the black cars! You got yourself a beauty. Tell us more about it. Looks like someone has taken good care of the car.

I'm a little partial to black SC's myself. I've owned my '83 coupe for about a year. In the middle of restoring my interior. Beware of "the bug".

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Wheel is fine where it is
Good luck with it, and the baby of course.

Anthony.

Congratulations on your new baby and your new car! I am sure you will get much enjoyment from both of them. As she grows up you can work on the car together and go for drives.

My two girls always love the rides in one of my 911s. I also just had another baby in December (a boy). My girls have suggested to get another Porsche - their logic was 3 kids = 3 Porsches. I can totally see that logic; not sure if my wife can...

Cheers,

What better way to go for a three hour ride to pick up
some diapers ... five towns away ... lol

Although you're going to have your hands full putting the steering back on the proper side

Welcome and Cheers !

Welcome, I am also a new member and this forum has been entertaining and invaluable for my new addiction.

I thought I should mention... you may have overlooked the fact you have only posted pics of your car (that is what spouses call Porsches - go figure...). Just in case she happens to check up on where you have been on the internet you had better post a few token baby pics. We don't care if it's an ugly baby as we probably won't look at them anyway

BTW, maybe add Natasha Campbell-McBride MD. to your extensive list of baby related research.
