power windows 2003 911

Have a friend with an '03 911. Both windows should drop and raise when opening and closing doors. They did but have stopped performing as they should. Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this to happen.?? Thanks for looking.

Microswitches in the handles. Common issue.

Mine failed within a week of eachother, during a particularly hot stretch of weather. They become brittle over the years.
If you are convinced they failed at exactly the same time, check your fuses first but the switches are most likely the culprits.

did the battery fail at some point?.... due needs to re-learn. Stroke all the windows, sun-roof etc... at full range.
