Rear targa glass install
I installed my targa glass and missed a 2 inch section of the seal towards the middle at the back(deck lid area). I can't get anything in there to pull it over because of how tight the seal is against the flange with the rest in place. The area is accessible with the interior out.
I need some tool recommendations please. Allen Last edited by Allenk; 06-23-2012 at 03:16 PM.. |

Cool info, wrong problem though. I need something to grab and pull the seal over the metal flange on the car. The trim piece isn't the issue. I can get at the area and managed to get under an area already in place, but it was with a flattened coat hanger which is too weak to pull the seal over the flange.
Thanks, Allen |

I had a similar problem with the rear window seal. A heavy nail with the last 8mm or so hammered flat, bent at a 90 degree angle and with the point blunted did the trick. Silicon grease it and it should slide along pulling the last bit of seal over the frame.

Push the window out and strat over. With that little bit left the window is not all the way sealed so you can reverse install the window to remove it with out damaging the seal. It won't be easy but YOU CAN DO IT.
