AC Air Conditioner Retrofit - The Authoritative Advice
I have searched and searched previous posts to see if someone has addressed this, but unless I am completely inept (which is completely possible, or unless they haven't used good keyword tags on their posts), please let me know if I've missed the relevant posts completely.
I am looking for somewhere on the web or otherwise that sells a complete AC retrofit kit for a 912 with a type IV pancake engine installed. Can someone either indicate the right place on the web to find such a kit, or the posts addressing this question? I'd be super appreciative!!! |

Bear minimum:
A) ester oil B) new drier with XH9 desiccant C) R134a virgin refrigerant D) R134a charge port adapters, in some cases you may need to replace the York manifolds to obtain ease of access to service fittings Better: E) new barrier hose lines Thinking ahead: F) 507 compressor; if you have an old York the cost to repair can be rather expensive Ideal: G) adding more condenser area, upgrading evaporator and blower motor Good reading material that can be transferred to the 912: The Mr. Ice Project |

Good break down of priorities.
Makes me think what I want to do is remove all the components minus the hoses, put in a box and send to someone. They inspect, clean/flush, items replaced or rebuilt, add items, e.g. over pressure switch/etc. and send back. I install plus new hoses and take to a known good place for filling and check out. Project done.
