8x15 Fuchs on front?

Is it possible to run an 8x15 Fuchs on the front of a non TL 911?

I think they would sit a bit proud, you could get them to tuck under the arches and reduce mexican-ness by dialing in extra camber and stretching tyres - probably easier with 15"s than 16"s as well.

But I can't really see it being ideal, you'd probably end up with excessive front camber and a less-than-ideal scrub radius on the front. And to get them to sit nicely in the guards it would probably have to be very stiffly sprung or not low enough to look good.

I could be wrong though

i actually just tried this today but with 16x8's on my 1978 SC, fit fine. rubber on them was 225 toyo proxes RA1's. did it for laughs whilst swapping wheels to my 17"s - i usually run 17x8's with 235 wide rubber on the front..

Is the offset much different with the 16x8s compared to the 16x7s? I've never measured them up but my 8"s have 245s on them and my front guards barely clear the 205s on 7"s!

not sure to be honest, i was trying to arrange a 3 piece set of fuch wheels from a guy who makes them down south, told me with the 16x8"s, the extra width is all on the outer rim.
not sure how much inner clearance i have, but i definitely had plenty of space for the extra inch on the outside?

i didn't think to take pics of it with the 16x8 fuchs on unfortunately!

There are 2 different offsets available for Fuchs 8s
911 o/s is 10.6 and fits the rear of SC/Carrera cars, it comes in both 15 and 16, it does not fit the front of a 911.

944 o/s is 23.3, it has been used by some on the front of a 911 but it is not a happy fit, 8 for the front wants a little higher o/s 25-31 is better and the closer to 30 the better. 944 8s only come in 16.

to ease 8 ET23.3 fitment the shortest possible tire is used 225/45 or 205/45

Yes, I've run 205s on these with max neg camber for years. You may have issues with clearance with tires wider than 205.
