I bet you can. Let me try the Vaseline trick first. I think there might be a slight cost differential.

Contemplated why I would spend $$oo much on rebuilding my 3.0 when I can buy another entire car for the same cost...
And then there are the Porsche options...3.6/3.8/3.2ss

New tires, oil change, new clutch cable, check brake pads, grease suspension, a few other things prior to the weekend road trip.

I finally fixed the oil leak that has plagued me for years now! Turns out when you replace the oil pressure switch, ignore the advice not to tighten it too tight. Tighten that hummer down, because you don't want to spend a year trying to figure out what else could be leaking, only to find it's barely hand tight from being too careful the first time!
Where is the 'What did you do to your garage today' thread? I need to add 'cleaned up oil!'

Took it for a drive to check out the ride with the newly fitted Euromeister 17x7/9's and Yokohama AD08's, then gave her a bath. Very happy with the wheels!

@mark4ton - lowered to Euro height. Has Bilstein HD's on it and larger torsion bars but ride is not bad at all.

Final look...
I kind of miss seeing the Motor block off plate (post 5644) but installed normally it hided the heating block off plates. So I spanned it 180 degree (as well as their logo), drilled two new holes at the top and voila...

Pulled her out of 9 month storage. New registration and thought i was good to go.
For some reason the drivers side turn signals/ hazard are now not working. All other lights are functioning properly. Driving lights work, passenger signals work, hazards on the passenger side work, headlights hi and low work. I have noticed the dashboard signal indicators do not light when trying the drivers side signal and both left and right dashboard indicators flash when trying the passenger turn signals. I've replaced all the fuses and dual filament bulbs, checked for corrosion around fuses and light bulb sockets all to no avail. Frustrating though this too shall pass. ![]()

Installed Elephant Racing 80mm studs on the front to match the look of rears after I deleted the spacers. Love the look. Also was needed as I wasn't getting enough lug on the previous studs with the addition of the new wheels.

Fixed my passenger side window rattle; fixed my loose side mirror, fixed my interior fan that wasn't working (gee, what's this unplugged plug for); tried to fix my falling front hood-installed new struts, what a waste of money and time. Fixed the same hood from opening when going over bumps. Adjusted points, timing, synched stacks, drove car only to find that I have a rear caliper that's dragging. Tried fixing that, but it's seized, new one on order. Rotated wheels, adjusted front camber, raised left front, set toe. This was actually over two days.

installed new plugs, cap, rotor, air filter and wires on my 86 3.2 Carrera
Thanks to Pelican Parts and this forum for some great suggestions, and parts taping the socket onto the extension! I would like to add a suggestion for extracting and installing the spark plugs without dropping them into the motor, I used the spark plug socket from the old wires. worked great..no worries
