Turbo flares and some new paint . . . The UPS race car now has red fenders . . . on the grid at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, CA ( and we finished 1st in class ahead of the blue BMW and yellow Corvette)

It needs a little more yellow . . .

Finished up some interior mods - new carpet and re-vinyl of some surfaces. I still need to redo the targa bar interior vinyl and get new RS door cards though.

No, that is charcoal squareweave. It photographs lighter than actual color.

Where did you buy it? My 71 has a cheap carpet set that someone glued in and then it sat for 20 years. I'm trying to decide if I need to try to shampoo it to get the musty odor out or just replace it.

This sucks with the AC compressor bracket in the car but I did not want to drop my exhaust to remove it.

Drove it to work so we could do this before we go on a drive tomorrow

I met with the upholstery guy and went through the entire build. I expect I will have a crate full of new (reconditioned) parts back within the month.

I know the felling...

Well, after 12 weeks of looking at it I decided to streamline the doors panels by backdating the doors lock arrangement.

74-76 Door Lock Knob (PEL-POR-001B) in the lock position

and the ever sought after weight reduction... A saving of 1 oz per door

Prepping the engine for re-entry...

Finalizing details before re-installing in the car after 3 years...
Also replaced the 2 big breather hoses at the front of the engine.

It was the first semi-warm day in a while and I was going to work on my heat. I'm missing some connections from the engine to the heat exchangers. Instead I just took the top off and drove around for an hour...
