Porsche Seats (911 3.2)

Hello All,

Just about to buy my first Pcar. Fairly close on a 1988 911 3.2 with 88k miles that I'm getting for 20k. Engine seems to be in amazing shape (getting it PPI'd shortly) but the interior could do with a once over.

Specifically, I need a new dash (though I think I found this on Ebay) and a new driver and passenger seat. Should I just have the seats recovered or should I buy entirely new seats. I test drove a fair number of 964s and liked the feel of those seats slightly better. Just found a pair of 964 seats at LA Dismantler in the valley that color match my car. Could I buy them and put them in?

964 seats will bolt in.

Be careful with the dash. Only years 1986 and up will fit.

If your PPI checks out and you get it, be sure to post lots of pics and such. Good luck.

Thanks! Yeah, the Dash I'm looking at on Ebay is from a 1988 so I have to assume it will match given that it's the same year. The dash that's in the car is torn to hell. The replacement on ebay has one slight tear but it's minor in comparison and, if my big holds, 65% less than getting it redone at AIR in the Valley here.

And thanks for the info on the 964 seats. Going to get test sit in them to see if they're any good and, if they are, will pick them up assuming I get the car.
