I am in need of some pics of various areas of the front seats on the 25th Anniversary car. Any owners in this thread willing to get some posted? (or emailed)? I sure would appreciate it very much!

Best!

Doyle

Specifically, the linen interior version.

Hi Doyle - happy to oblige! What would you like to see - not sure what you mean by the "linen version". Let me know and I'll send some pics your way!

DEAL, Calman! And thanks for the offer.

Linen would refer to the interior color.....silk grey would be fine, as well....wouldn't really matter for what I need.

One shot would be of the seat's upper switch position (the one that's mounted on both sides of each seat,..upper side area). I'd like to see what the distance is from this switch's edge to the nearby seam. All seats.

Another would be a side views of the lower section/sides....especially as to how Porsche handle that lower stitching's position at the bottom of the seat. I've some pics to post so maybe they will help me dig a bit deeper in getting some pics from my fellow PP's.

Some great up-close shots of the seat's inserts (upper/center part of the seat), especially as related to the adjoining upper bolster.

I need to look for some of my pics.

Again, big thanks!

BEST!

Doyle

Doyle - these are from a few months back, and maybe not as 'close up' as you'd like, but let me know if they help and we can zero in on exactly what you are looking for. I took a few more just now, but the lighting isn't great under a car cover in a cold Pittsburgh garage...!

Thanks for the pics. Looking to get an average distance that the seat switch should be positioned "from" the stitched (vertical) seam. Obviously, I have pics of my girl's switch,..I just wanted to see pics of others.

The other area of interest is a hard one to get, with the seats installed, I'm sure. The last pic shown has the area of interest. That area is the lower stitched seam at the bottom of that side view of the seat (seam running from the rear to the front). Clearly, it looks to be "under" the seat (in fact) and cannot be seen from the side,...agreed? I'd like to get some close up pics of how that side area was worked by Porsche,..hard shots to get, indeed. Maybe a commentary on your observations would suffice?

Thanks for the pics,..I do appreciate it!

The other area of interest is the seat insert section (upper). Looks to me that one won't see the side areas of the insert, as it lays against the surrounding bolsters. Agreed?

How's this? The seam is wrapped around and under the slide rail.

Doyle -

I'll take a closer look, but basically 'yes' to both of your questions. The lower seat stitch is not visible from the side and runs as Mark points out in his pictures. The side of the seat inserts are not visible either. They do lay against the bolsters.

Sounds like you're getting closer - did you get all your interior parts back?

Thanks guys.

To your question,...yes. Let's just say that we're revisiting several things at the moment. For now, I'll leave it at that.

Patience is a virtue? I think not.

Thanks again, guys for your help. I zoomed in on Mark's side shot and it surely looks like that seam disappears into the rail. There's just no question about it. I'd still be quite curious to know "where" that seam actually "lives".

Best!

Doyle

The only other thing (since I'm being so frikin' anal about this) is to get a shot of the seat inserts' sides. Maybe you can press the insert away from it's nearby bolster and get a shot of how they handled the sides of that insert. THAT would be a big help.

Again: thanks for your time, Gentlemen.

If you zoom in on the bottom picture you can see the seam poking out from time to time. It lies right under the first edge of the rail. I sent you a PM. Let me know if you need any more pictures before I put them away.

Actually, upon review, it looks like I can see some of the seam outside of the rail (which is fine). Point is: it's "underneath and out of visual sight lines when the seat is sitting in the car (cannot be seen from the side).

You beat me to it, Cashman!

Only other thing would be the insert areas mentioned above.

I forgot to mention that some pics of your door handles would help. ESPECIALLY the back of the vertical piece (what one grabs). Something that demonstrates the stitching approach used in that back area,..all the way to the top.
