Black Dash with burgundy panels

Has anyone seen or got any photos of stock 3.2's with black dash and doortops but burgundy or brown lower panels. Not sure if this was a possible option on 84-86 cars?

I have seen black dash and tops with brown lower cards .. looks good in my opinion ...

Not sure if it was an option or a modification .... don't know if that helps ...

You can do what ever you want though .. you hold the title .. the P police wont repo your car from you and the factory sold it long ago ... also you don't need to get permission or approval ... take a look around .. we have strickly stock all the way thru playa's submissions here (if unfamiliar search him here .. wow)

Have fun and enjoy your car .. not pickin .. don't take wrong ....

I'd love to see some two-tone black-burguny interiors. My burgundy dash and doors are in great shape - not leather, but still in great shape - but the seats have either aged to a purple or were treated with something that turned them purple. I'll be recovering them in burgundy but putting in a black carpet. Pics of other two-tone schemes would really help me visualize and plan...

So here's a bump for the cause.

whiterabbit,

I've seen an early eighties Turbo with a burgundy interior but with a black dash and door tops, it looks good. I've got an all burgundy interior in my '84, I gave it some contrast with black door pulls and black pocket lids. I've considered re-doing the dash and door tops in black but the all burgundy has grown on me.

Sure. It might be a day or two until I can get some pics, I'm at work at the moment.

My 1984 interior. The camera flash made the vinyl look a little shinier than it really is and the color a little more red than burgundy.

I removed the original burgundy seats (they need to be reupholstered) and swapped in sport seats, correct for the year but black rather than burgundy.

I think it works, looks good! Did you recover the seats yourself or just source black ones? I'm going to keep the burgundy upholstery and dash, and redo all carpeted surfaces in black. Once I get the engine back together and installed, that is.

The sport seats came in black leather. The original seats in burgundy need to be reupholstered.

Hey KNS, thanks for the photos. In my case my seats are burgundy cloth and totally like new so I swapped them out and put in a set of black sport seats to keep my orignals like new in the basement . I am now thinking of putting in a black dash and door tops to match the black sport seats as my burgandy dash is cracked at the center vent. Maybe black coco mats as well.
