Hood release cable fishing...
My hood release handle broke today. Handle came off in my hand and I located the second piece on the floor board. As can be seen in the attached photo's the cable has recessed into the hole and I'm searching for a way to get it out. Fortunately the hood disengaged prior to the handle disintegrating.
I've searched the forum without much success. If anyone has some insight into helping me resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!! ![]() jon ![]()

Get a second set of hands to push on the actual latching mechanism in the engine bay and it will expose enough wire for you to grab it with some needle-nose pliers. Screw the handle back onto the cable and you are good to go.
