Fuch Tire Sizes 9x16 8x16 7x16

This is probably a dumb questions. But, that's what technical forums are for right?
Is there a site/document/or ???? that will give me the tire sizes I can put on 9x16 8x16 and 7x16 Fuchs.

Mucho Thanko

If you search tires on TireRack.com and look at the individual tire specifications it shows you the recommended rim widths for each tire size. The stock tire diameter is about 24.9" and you need to stick "close" to that overall diameter with whatever tire size you pick or you will affect your gearing and your speedo/odom. Tire Rack also shows you overall diameter in the specifications but you can calculate it yourself with this formula:

(TreadWidth * SidewallHeightAsFraction * 2 / 25.4) + TireWheelSize = overall diameter in inches

so for a stock 225/50/16 tire...

(225 * 0.50 * 2 / 25.4) + 16 = 24.86 inches

Tirerack specs are a good place to look

the specs you care about are weight, rim width range-this is the smallest and largest width the specific tire is designed for, meas. rim width this is the specific wheel width used for the rest of the measurements(as width changes section width and height change too), section width- the width from sidewall to sidewall, tread width- this is fixed and does not change w/ wheel width, overall diameter, revs per mile- I use this a lot because using it allows you to derive the actual rolling radius of the tire mounted on that specific wheel size,

if you do the math a nominal 245/45 x16 tire changes specs depending on the wheel it is mounted on,

I did the math for BS RE71 when I used them
a nominal 225/50x16 RE71 shaved, mounted on an 8" wheel measured 248/36 x16

a nominal 245/45 x16 shaved. mounted on a 9" wheel measured 260/34 x16
