Has anyone ever considered running an additional ground strap from engine to negative battery terminal?

I just finished updating my fuel pump wiring and was looking at ground locations.

I have replaced the engine to chassis ground.

Old fashioned Lithium grease is an alternative. I put some dielectric grease on my turn signal bulbs and they quit working, learned my lesson as to its not being appropriate where you want to make a good contact. It is excellent on spark plug leads and any boots over an electrical connection.

the wingnut you reference is used to secure the fuse panel plastic cover, not for a ground attachment.

Yeah but where does the other end of these hinge grounds go. To a bolt on the engine tin? Valve cover?

Always carry a bit of 80-ish grit sandpaper with your tool kit > Make 'fresh' grounds when needed!

There are two types of dielectric grease, a nonconducting one and a conducting one. Use the conductive one for electrical connections like bulbs.

the forward end is attached to the body between the accumulator and the fuel filter.

i do not see that ground strap on the passenger side. mine is a cab if that makes a difference.
