Top car to start with ,all the hard work done, appears no rust also.....very good ,nice to have the $$$$ to do what you have done.
Wheels and seats don't work for me but that paint colour is too die for.
Have a few P cars and some watercooled VW's myself, really great cars ,well done

Fantastic build and fantastic end result!
The colour is spot on and those wheels.... Oh god those wheels!!
EB110's are amazing cars, so different from the 911 silhouette, but they absolutely work with you car and the stance is bang on..
But then coming from the VW scene that's no suprise.
Please keep the wheels - the BBS look superb but it's those wheels that make your car so unique and fresh.
It's bold choices like yours that push things forward.
Congratulations!

Agreed. The rims are fantastic. Interior is stunning and color is perfect. Makes me want to sell my 993 and build a hot rod now....

Very proud of my son and love the end result. Had a great time in Houston in October to see it in person. Regarding the Bugatti wheels they definitely grew on me I love the fact that they started out a center lock wheels and then were machine for five lug totally amazing. The only thing I would do to the car now is drop in at 3.8 L just saying.

Clay,

This is an excellent story. I assume someday one of my boys or daughter will take over my 911.

I applaud your workmanship and building the 911 you want! The end result is fantastic! Now you can be the caretaker until the time one of your kids take over the keys!

If you decide to take your dad's advice and build a 3.8L I would be happy to take the 2.8L off your hands for mine.

Very creative build. Congrats!
I'm a wheels guy and those Bugatti wheels look killer!

Fuchs are nice and all ... but on a hot rod? The Fuchs conversions in 17" are nothing spectacular anymore so ...?

Coming from the mk2 sceen you are probably used to change wheels like women change
there shoes. So why not having a set of Bugatti wheels in the collection.

Over here in Europe some car guys change wheels inbetween coming home from work
and taking off for evening crusing.
And the OEM wheels swap still does it for me, no adapters used - even better!

There are so many VW's with Porsche wheels around but what would be a decent
upgrade wheel for a 911? You found an awesome solution - Bugatti wheels.

I'de even stuff them under a real 965 with less or no spacers, the design works very well
with the modern 965 rockers. Makes the car look quite 90ish modern without the
"whoho I see spacers between those fake & heavy cup wheels" attitude.

Hey Clay,

I don't think we met but seen your MK2 from EAG. I drive a blue mkiv r32.

Congrat with this spectacular built, very nice Porsche. Hope to check it out in person one day.

I've been wanting to work on my pcar for the longest but... It's just sitting in my garge for now.

Again, nice ride man!

What a transformation. I admire your vision, tenacity, and drive -- what a project and I'm sure there were times along the way you really questioned what you were doing (rust, 964 parts, etc) but WOW did the end result come out amazing. Congratulations, sir.

Magnificent project, well done!

Could you please name the Beetle model year for the rear window seals. Great idea btw.

Thanks

Thanks again for all the compliments. I recently got engage, bought my first home and started some renovations on that, so the 911 has been put on the back burner for the time being. A few weeks ago I did take it out to a gtg and got this picture
