Please help ID a part
I'm putting back together an 83 SC cab that I started nearly two years ago. I was meticulous in taking pictures and marking baggies....except for one. Of course, I can't for the life of me figure that one out.
It was relatively greasy. It looks like road grime more than oil build up. The nut counter-sinks into the bar. From the dirt pattern, it appears that the bottom mounted at an angle to some straight surface. The nut is 15mm and the threads inside it are M8 x 1.25. This was not a complete teardown of the car. The engine and tranny were out, some of the interior, some of the front boot, front belly pan and fuel pump, calipers rebuilt, tail and rear bumper off. It was in my box of non-engine stuff, but I can't say with certaintly that some things didn't get mingled. Here's my engine thread if interested http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-engine-rebuilding-forum/761945-rookie-rebuild-3-0-a.html Oh please great Porsche gurus, someone say "oh, I just took that off mine and it goes....." Thanks folks!!!
