Geez. I have to do that mangrove gig occasionally too, so I know EXACTLY how you feel.
Why is it the most ecologicallysignificant marine ecosystems have to be the hardest, smelliest and downright exhausting places to actually do any work in?? My prediction is that you will flake out tonight before that four-ex even hits your throat.

Paul, you should direct your pity to John for having to quaff that rubbish. Us Kiwi's on the other hand rarely import the stuff; we already have the finest breweries in the world as it stands.
Oh no! It's started..........

Australians are really very sweet. One day the UnZudders will see the light and become Australians (they secretly want to) and then we will have the rugby team to end all rugby teams. In the meantime, they are duvustated when associated with Australians. Cant thunk why. Beer oclock on this side of the world.... stuart 87 carrera (I knew a girl in Longbeach once, or was it tw..) |

While I may not agree with some of the tech advice I've recieved or read here on the board an old saying comes to mind.
"Never look a gift horse in the mouth" If you don't like the advice you get here, don't complain just take your car to a mechanic and have him fix it. And don't come back here b!tching about how much it cost. Do you even have a clue how much science and intelligence it takes to be a good mechanic? I don't accept every word that come out of the "mouthes" of the gurus around here but I do respect it for what it is, FREE ADVICE! and for that I am very grateful. Big up to those who take time from their day to help people they don't even know with thier problems. |

Actually Matt does have a point. The only import we've received from NZ that we haven't wanted to give back has been Steinlarger.
Cheers,

Richard, a man after my own heart - Stella , although I'm quite partial to some of the dutch beers (especially the ones made by the Trappist Monks!) as well!
Oh and it's Friday!!!! ![]() s-man, if your not happy with the advice you get on this board then why are you here? Personally I've saved hundreds of pounds on work that I've done myself, that I would not have attempted without the help and re-assurance of this BBS! Cheers, Tim. ____________ 1983 SC Targa |

Once again it looks as if many people are incapable of reading, only to selectively grab what they feel is necessary to bounce upon.
This is the very scenario that I speak of. I will re itterate that I have remarked that I do respect the others input herre in the forum, but at the same time, I feel that just telling someone to read something is insufficient. What I am saying is that many people and their cars are very eager to quickly forget some basic steps even if it is in plain english right in front of them. I have been in the automotive sector fro over 20 years, Ihave no degree, what I do have is a brain. I have watched hundreds of liscensed shops play shotgun on thousands of cars, and anyone who that tries to deny it here is just ignorant to reality. In short, I never intented to offend anyone, merely strike awarness that we need to improve on the manner in which we offer information. I pains me to read multi page threads that have no reference to the important stuff. I am an s-man. I have been been collecting for over 20 years. I beleive that I what I have say, SPELLING aside is note worthy. You watch, this thread will be peppered with good things, not just criticism over my observations. Racer 911............ |

"In short, I never intented to offend anyone, ...."
s-man: "I just wanted to let all know that all the reading in thisd g-d forsaken board cannot and will not cure the "plague" when trying to deal with a poorly performing mfi system. I have read countless yammerings over and over, kind of like a song in a loop, yet it seems that more often than not the gospel of the "so called experts" never bears the "real fruits" the could be acheived. " Hell, I wasn't even involved in attempting to help you out but even I'm offended by the yammerings in your g-d forsaken post! Try a different forum. -- Curt |

As a new member, I must say that input from individuals on this site have (repeatedly) set me on, and kept me on the right path to getting my 71'T project running. I can only equate your comments to the scenario in which someone brings their vehicle to a mechanic and doesn't provide all the information needed to help diagnose the problem( I guilty of that with my first few posts). I think your observations may have some validity(though not personally experienced), but as the song goes "a whisper on a scream doesn't mean a thing" and the way you chose to address the issue may have negated your point.
