My 911 SC Martini Hot Rod
Just finished..
After selling my old 69T Hot Rod a few years ago, I begin to really miss a Porsche in the garage. I started looking a few years ago (on and off) for another 911. Early, longhoods were out of the question (I already had owned one), so I started looking at SC's and 3.2 Carrera's. Older Porsches in Australia are hard to find in good condition and a reasonable price, searching for an Australian delivered car etc etc narrows the choices. I ended up finding this nice, clean 1980/81 204 hp car in Sky Blue Metallic. After owning and subtly modifying my last car, the SC was on the same path. I have always like the European Rally SC's and loosely based this car on one. The car was too good to chop up and put the bolt on flares on, so I kept the body standard apart from a metal-framed ducktail and the Cibie (real) hood lights. I removed the aircon and smog pump and will backdate the heater in the future. A Mille Miglia muffler replaces the heavy stock one. The most obvious mods are the Group 4 wheels in 7x15 and 8x15 with Maxxis tyres 195/65 and 225/60. The Martini stripes are replica's from the factory Martini edition (SC and Turbo) I had a custom 911SC decal made up for the ducktail by Auto Grafik. Classic Auto Inspired Decals Inside.. the SC has Cobra RS seats re-done with Porsche Tartan and a half cage, the rest is original. Its lowered on 23 and 31 Sway Away torsion bars and sport shocks. Im looking forward to enjoying the car.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very nice Matt, love the detail. Good tasteful choice on seats, wheels and decals.
Tempted by those cibie front lights myself. Hopefully see the car on the Sydney streets soon. Cheers Ed |

It can be hard to find the lights. I posted a wanted ad and a friend had some ![]() You don't see them often on an SC. I'm looking forward to getting it out and about.

Matt,
Simply WOW! You have created an incredible car. Simple and cool. Love the touches you have put into this car to personalise it and hot rod it. Drive it like you stole it. I know you will.

Hey Matt... Been following you on Instagram! Was chatting with you about those Cobra seats. The car is looking great! Love the added "Martini" style details.
Keep the updates coming! |

This is a beautiful car. I love what you did with the decal on the ducktail, absolutely genius.

I can't believe no body has done it before, it's the same size as the RS Carrera decal that goes in the same spot. There is a lot of surface area on the rear of the ducktail that needs to be broken up by something..

Yea absolutely... it just makes sense. Funny no one has done it. I will be stealing that idea for sure (if you don't mind...)

I dig the color combo... I'm planning on using those wheels on my '81 SC rally car...
