Porsche Crest No heat

on a 1980 911 SC should I hear a blower motor in the rear if I turn on the ignition switch and pull up on one or both red tipped handles beside the emergency brake lever?

I had a strange thing happen to my heater blower... one of the bolts that holds the motor to the fan housing came loose and jammed the fan from moving. It eventually cooked the motor... you could check that...
