Sport seats (pics): year + worth estimate? Upholstery recos in NY/NJ/PA?

Could anyone with a trained eye give me a sense of what year these seats appear to be and what you think they're worth?

I'm also looking for a reasonable and high quality upholstery shop to redo the foam and install new leather covers and possibly porsche tartan inserts. I'd be much obliged for any recommendations and insight.

Incorrect. Those are earlier -- 74-78. Could be worth it for someone with a 911 in those years. Redone with corduroy insert would make them nice.

Seats

Those look like my old -84 sport seats that I sold on this board 2 weeks ago. Mine were all leather. I got tons of interest very quickly after posting the for sale ad and got my asking price.

I am thinking 74-80 bolsters are more pronounced but I have been wrong before.

Sport Seats

Lol.....I am having a set recovered right now and sadly I cannot tell you what the subtle differences are.
Rookie is correct they are worth considerably more if they are the older style.

I love the 80 - 84 Sport Seat for its light weight and comfort. Pelican Marko is recovering and repairing (foam) a pair for my Turbo Look in Can Can red leather w/black piping. They look amazing.
I will post some pictures tomorrow when I get home......

He is in Tampa 911SCinNY or I'd highly recommend him to you.

Best of luck,
Scott

Thanks guys, for all of the replies. Still hoping that someone can confirm if they're indeed 78 - 80 or 81 - 84!

I think 80 - 84 look at the adjustor knob. The earlier ones have two levers, one with the Recaro logo The earlier seats have side supports

Smaller hinge and script fabric suggests '81-84.
Good chance they came out of a 944.

Sorry, no, you are incorrect.

Penguin... is right.

Those are absolutely 81-84 Sport Seats, NOT the early ones.

Absolutely, no question.

And the earlier seats were 74-80.

GTC would be spot on.. based on the fabric they would probably be from a 944. Although, they will surely fit the 911 as they are the same seat. 81-84

those look to be 81-84, attached are mine from an 84 944. I picked them up for $500 on the 944 parts page.

Autoberry looks to have the best deal on seat covers that look right.
