front wheel bearing, cannot budge the right front

I had a bearing go bad in my 84' 911. Got everything apart and started trying to work the hub off. Outer bearing is stuck solid to the spindle. Heat, rigged up a wheel puller to help. Will not budge. Ideas?

Sounds like the bearing has spin-welded to the spindle. The strut itself may now be toast.

Ask your neighbor for advice...

He would help, but he's at work today...

So how did you get it off?

I thought texting him to death was a better alternative... You know the constant reminder of how nice a day it was...

I have the left side left to do... I'm sure the weather will be crummy for that.

Slide hammer, took a couple of minutes.....carefully. I spent a couple hours trying to be gentle. It just got to the point were there was no choice. I figured I would have to deal with whatever happened. The outside race was an adventure as it kept taking off the corner of my drift punches. I ended up grinding a special punch and it came out, helped to.. Heated the hub and froze the races and everything went back pretty easy. I did ask for some experienced advice along the way so I could avert as much potential damage as possible...thank to those folks for the assistance..

I have the the left side still in the freezer. I'm going to try and get it done this weekend.
