My First Porsche
I've always wanted a 911. It's been my car of choice since I was young. My first vehicles were air-cooled vw's. A 67 bus, 56 beetle. Recently I purchased my first Porsche. I want to thank Jeff and Frazer at Turn 3 Autosport in Surrey, BC for doing a very thorough PPI. These guys are really knowledgeable and spent most of the day going through the car with a fine tooth comb. "Zoe" is a 1977 911S targa, which was originally a California car. The second owner was a MLB pitcher for the California Angels in the early nineties. During that time (early 90's) the car was repainted from an original brown to the current Blue colour and a Carrera kit was added. It also received an interior restoration white on white (and even a white steering wheel). The original 2.7 engine was rebuilt at 100,000 miles and it has 130,000 miles currently. The rebuild receipts show upgrades to an 11 blade fan, chain tensioners, Dilivar studs. I've since pulled the AC, and removed the smog pump. The car was imported into Canada in the early 2000's and now lives in Clayton, BC, Canada. I'm in the process of doing the injector rings and sleeves and the intake runner sleeves as I found a couple vacuum leaks at injectors 1 & 4. Anyways, as a side note, I was born in 77, I live at unit # 77 and I now own a 77 Porsche.... what does that mean? I don't know

Nice.
Don't think I have ever seen a white steering wheel. Looks like Zoe has had a speaker upgrade too (doors and kick panels). Enjoy the ride. Don't get any speeding tickets doing 77 in a 50

Very nice car! You must be cleaner than I, as that beautiful white interior would be filthy by the third drive if I owned it. LOL.
That car will give you years of enjoyment. Have fun with the new toy.

Welcome to another Vancouver area Pelican. Nice looking car, and seems well sorted. Welcome to the best place on the internet for all things Porsche.

I remember reading in the way back. a journalist said these cars look like they are "hewn from a block of granite"
Your first pic gives that impression. Nice and enjoy. Roll with the few unfavorable surprises you will find. Rite of passage. :-) Without them, it's not official.
