Our host sells kits that have a template and all the hardware. All you need to source yourself is the actual door card material and the fabric/vinyl to cover it:

Appbiz - yes I have noted. However; I find it difficult to justify $200 for a piece of paper with some hardware that I could probably get for $50-75...

I know Appbiz stuff is top of the line - but was wondering if anyone has a used template they would be interested in selling.

Ah, ok, makes sense. I'm thinking of doing a similar conversion in my car, the door cards in it now are shot and I want to do something a little more unique. What are you planning on using for backing?

I am taking my RS door cards out and going back to the original configuration (all new components) door panels with pockets,etc..
Bottom line is I'll have a set of cards off a 1976 RoW 911 that I'd happily sell another member. Black pull straps. Screws and clips should be complete. Standard roll up window.

Let me know if you are interested. Will sell the set reasonable - or better yet trade for other stuff I need!

Dan, I would be interested in that, I have a 76 and I like the RS door cards a lot. If the OP is not interested I would love to see what you are looking for!

I fabricated my own door pulls and bushings and so only had to mark center of the door card for the bushings/pulls. I found two sets of holes on the doors that once you drew a line through them intersected the center of the bushing. I transfered these holes to the new door cards and used them to locate the bushing.

I did something similar for the handle holes.

I just received the Appiz DIY kit through Pelican this week.
If I were you you're better off tracing your old door panels to make templates.
The kit came with very limited instructions (add says complete instructions, I already spoke with Pelican about this)
The template is pretty thin and has numerous folds in it so it's hard to stay flat. I've made a cardboard template that I will trace on the new panels that I will use.
I would of been better off buying the hardware separately.
