Anyone know where this connector goes to? 1987 Carrera

I'm doing an interior restoration on my 87 carrera coupe since it was a dedicated track car with no interior when I bought it. There's this one connector that runs under the carpet between the shifter and the heater controls. I've included some pics and hope you can help me figure where this connector goes to. THanks!

Pop off the shift-coupler cover in the center in front of the rear seats to see where it leads. You may have to continue to follow it from where it exits the tunnel to the rear.

DISREGARD MY REPLY. I WAS LOOKING AT THE PHOTO UPSIDE DOWN. SORRY.

Might be the seat belt warning light connector.

I don't think it's the seat belt connector because there is already a connected harness from the seat belt receptacle.

I have an '87 cab and have the same connector loose on my car; I have no idea what it does either and have been wondering about it for a while now. My car is well sorted and there is nothing functionally amiss that I know of, so I will be watching here closely also...thanks in advance

Power supply for an electric seat? Put a meter on it and see if it has any juice.

It is for the ejector seat option!

+1 for power seat. I looked at my 85 and couldn't find any wires of the same color running under my seat but I did find a small harness with a black end that went to my power seats. My other thought was possibly something for central locking that someone simply routed to get it out of the way but my harness is round and has about 4 or 5 wires going into it.

86 911 Targa looks to have put pretty conclusive evidence as to what it is. It's odd, I thought my car was supposed to have auto heat. Now I need to start looking more at my ride.

Thanks! You solved my problem. I guess that connector sits unused as I don't have auto heat.
