Glenn,

I read on Pelican about 6 months ago to spray Silicone lubricant in the door channel felt in which the windows move up and down. I did it and the windows moved faster and easier. Try it, nothing to lose that I can think of. Nice car!

Here is a picture of the door mechanism. My guess is that yours may be gummed up from being old

Java dog thanks for clarifying the washer system. Regarding the fuses. Take them slow. It always bothers me when some one uses completely wrong fuses. One last comment which is a bit off topic but related. For the window switches, power seats.. Maybe even the sun roof. Porsche didn't use a relay system for powering the devices. Instead they pull the current through those switches. Most cars will use a relay to split the signal and power to the motors. Not porsche. So items like the power door switches, headlight switch, power seat switch all have the power directly routed through them. Get used to going through things like window switches

Thanks folks. Due to the snow, the car hasn't moved in a couple of days, so can't test out the power windows, to see if the proper fuse solves the problem. There was an 8 amp fuse in that slot, instead of the 25 it's supposed to be! I presume the fuse blew when I closed both windows at the same time.

Thanks
-Glenn

Just following up. Since fixing the fuses, all has been great. The door switches work fine without the rubber covers, we shall see after I put new rubber covers on... My mechanic put in new turn signal switch too. This car is fun!
