help with a few questions - upholstery and tach

im looking to have my seats reupholstered on my 68 with headrests. i don't want to go leather. has anyone had this done? how much should i expect to pay for this? ebay had premade ones that claim to be exact fits. they also have replacement cushions. has anyonr gone this route?

also, i have a replacement tach that doesnt have the same condition as my current guages. can i take the guts out of it and use the face/bezel of my existing tach? how do i get the thing apart?

thanks for any help!

This thread may help. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/362167-removeing-bezel-holds-glass-place-gauge.html
Also googling what you are trying to find (stick pelican at the end) works better than the search engine for me, YMMV

I haven't tackled the seat upholstery yet, but replaced cabin & trunk carpet, door panels and headliner all from Pelican. I had a reputable upholsterer do it and they were blown away by the superior quality and fit of Pelican's stuff. Upholstery kits from Pelican are spendy buy you can count on the quality. I recommend that you consider having an upholsterer do the job as good ones can do miracles with the stuffing that may need to be replaced as well.

As for the Tach, call North Hollywood Speedometer. They are reasonable for speedometer repairs anyway and my be able to help you.
