Crank Pulley Question

I bought a new crank pulley for my 3.2 from goingsuperfast.com and it won't clear the nose bearing. I've exchanged emails with Albert and he says he's sold over 200 of these without issue, and I believe him. I've not heard of any complaints. I'm sure someone has experienced this, I can't be the first, so I'm looking for any recommendations/ideas for resolving this issue. Thanks in advance.

You have that stop leak seal on the nose bearing as there is just the bearing notch below the run over 8 bearing seal.

I really wish I understood any of that. This car is new to me and the previous owner had the 3.2 built and installed (it's a '79 SC). He used the old CIS set up for some reason, so when I took all that off to install the 3.2 intake I decided to switch to EDIS (the PO also used an SC dizzy, but had it re-geared). There are a few oddities throughout the car that I'm finding as I pull things out/off.

Thanks.

A previous owner installed a kit to solve a leaking nose bearing seal. The ring you are
measuring with the allen head grub screw in it is part of the kit that ordinarily
would not be there on a stock case. Therefore the new pulley won't mount correctly.
Here's a thread about the fix:

I dont know how you can turn an SC distributor backwards..The counterweights dont advance backward.
A Carrera dist. is an empty shell except for the advance spring units.

I don't know either. I was told you could "re-gear" a distributor, I have no experience with this so have no idea what's done to make that happen. I just know the part number on my distributor indicates it's for an SC, but it rotates clockwise; and from what I understand the SC's rotate counterclockwise.

I'll just pull that "stop leak" piece off and see what happens. Like I said, this project has been full of surprises so far... like the alternator crapped out, or so I thought, and when I pulled it out to get it rebuilt it was fine, but it was also a 55 amp, which is for a '74 and earlier. Good times, good times.

Thanks to all for the responses.
