917 Style/Inspired Shift Knobs
Thanks all, I’ve seen them all, but the non have the right set up for me just yet. The carbone is waaaaaayy too expensive.
This is exactly I want from Singer, color, design and all. Shaft could be a little darker. ![]() I’ve already bought the Re-boot from SwineEleven for $129, but still need the right thick rounded shaft to fit with the dark shift knob. The carbone version doesn’t fit with the SwineEleven because the shifter is too short and not paying $559 for it. Since I like really the wooden knob, not a fan of the Rothsport yet. Though it solves for the tallness. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by gejay; 03-10-2019 at 09:15 AM.. |

This was my inspiration ...... It's on a Wevo. Wish I could sent it to someone to engrave the pattern.

This one is a rougher version of my Skateboard knobs.
Cool thing in making these, it's allways the same procedure, but non turns out the same

Didn’t go back to the first post to see that it was the vendor’s thread; just read the last few new posts Last edited by Robbylou; 03-13-2019 at 05:07 PM.. |

Not trying to be a cop here, but Slodave started this thread for his knobs and there have been no less than 3 suggestions for other craftsmen and their knobs on this very thread in the last few days. I get that some people are having trouble reaching him, but come on.

Dave can now do the shift pattern engraving as well. If you like the Singer knob, you owe it to yourself to get ahold of Dave.

Sounds like you've tried a bunch of times to contact Dave, but another option is over on Facebook. I've seen him active there within the past couple weeks.

Haha thanks. Yeah I think i reached out there too. He either is only working with bulk order or he just dropped off.
I kind of think he’s loosing a lot of customers by being non-responsive — even if the customers would have purchased his knob through his dealers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'll send him a text, hopefully that helps, or maybe something else is going on.
Edit: text sent. And I agree with it being bad form to mention other vendors in Dave’s thread.

I am around, just very busy and have some stuff going on in my personal life that has kept me away from email - though my gmail gets swamped with so much email, I do miss them from time to time.
I went through my DM's on IG gejay and can't seem to find anything from you.

That's my shift knob, but Singer had that one engraved. As far as the shaft, that's also Singer, I have nothing to do with that. It's not a part of the shift knob.

You can purchase Dave's 917 inspired shift knobs through Pelican , or ourselves (we supply Pelican). We have a fair amount of inventory on the shelf. No waiting. Price is the same either way
