Ten years ago......

Thought it would take a good six months to paint. Wrong. Several years.

Still love my targa

Five years of driving and it doesn't look as good as this picture. But, she'll do in a rush!

Hey Bob... Are those fiberglass? Your car must be pretty light. Good job though. Sometimes it's the process.

Cools pics of your dismantled, and sprayed (or is that spayed?) Targa, Bobert (Lorena?). I'll tell you what, at least you have the scroat to run a proper tail on it - that might be yer Targhay's saving grace right thar!!!

Told this story before. My 450 lb boss was in the car and I had just picked him up from Houston Hobby (cause I am a butt kisser and drove down from I-10 and SR 6 to pick him up. For those not in the Texas know, 6 turns into Farm to Market 1960 and rolls on over to Humble. But I digress.)

Launched that bad boy from a Beltway 8 toll booth on the SW side of Houston, not too too far from Sam Shalala's, now defunct, Pro Teknik shop, and hit 115 with that fat bastard in the passenger seat. 115 with traditional speedo error is at best, 105, right?

Steady as a rock. Steering with my pinky finger around a curve. I am thinking WTF? This car is awesome. What is the difference?

It was the 450 pounds.

Sprung for front and rear within a week.

My inspiration is people who treat others opinions with respect and who have the discretion to acknowledge that to each their own while leaving it at that.

My inspiration is people that that can joke and laugh in non-threatening manners because, well, it's fun.

BTW - hgcghfc is a spammer that copied and pasted a much earlier post by Rich (tried to include a SPAM link in his post but it is blocked by Pelican's anti-SPAM software).

That's awesome. Boxers are of the same mindset. If you want to talk shiite about Targas you have to go through him!

targa

Here's mine................not a 911, but still a nice Targa. The monochromatic paint scheme, lack of vinyl sail panels, makes for a clean machine and really integrates the top into the body style.

regards,
al
