You still have a $110 air filter and such on there...

You have a couple of the best Porsche shops in the United States in your neighborhood. You never asked around for a recommendation?

Something is not right here.

It appears you have had a great reduction in cash outlay as well as your blood pressure is probably greatly reduced.

Seeing a bill like that sure makes me appreciate the knowledge on this board that has allowed me to do all of the work on my car myself.

Sounds like a happy ending without escalation.

If you would like a private and discrete opinion on the caliber of work of the shop shoot me a pm. Most anyone who does good work is one of my dealers, though there are some quiet mom and pop shops doing really good work who aren't on my radar.

Jaime,
Congrats on the labour reduction...... But?

There are still many questions about that bill most related to what is not on there rather than what is.

Some folks here much more knowledgeable than I are questioning lack of machining seals etc and the quality of the work.

This is still a large bill I would ask many questions before paying it.

At the very least define what they claim they did and why and post it here for comments or pm the Cap'n again.

Cheers
Bill

+1 on that.

While the bill has been lower, the description is kind of vague.

$25 of shop supply on a $15K bill is rather low...

A $10,000 mistake? Holy crap.
At least they were very apologetic...

Was this work done yet, and is it the the Ft. Lauderdale area?
The ONLY shop I ever used when I lived there was KMW Motorsports in Boca Raton; Incredible workmanship and honest to a fault. Kevin Wheeler runs a tight ship and the crew is amazing.
If your work hasn't been done, email Kevin and tell him Serge sent you: kmwmotorsports@aol.com

This is the latest update about the car.

Quote:
Here's the latest on your car, the car is running, we have some fine-tuning to do, & then we always go back and do a valve adjustment
Can't believe it's almost done!
Will ask for the details of the services executed on it.
