Tire fitment question
I have 8x15 fuchs with 225/50/15 R888s on them and have to replace the rears. I found a local deal on 225/45/15s. Will these fit?

google 225/50/15 vs 225/45/15 both fit the wheels, about the same width, 50 series sidewall is taller by approx .4 inches, diameter .8 inches difference, about 4% error to speedo, to will read high. might look funny with your front tires? and if you are not lowered a bunch they will look smallish my 2 cents

I never thought about it looking odd - good point. The car is lowered, though the front more than the rear - a bit too much I think.

I love these short tires on relatively under powered cars, you can run the car very low and the tires help acceleration a lot.

It's getting hard to find 225/50/15s (like all 15" sizes), now 225/45/15s are way more common. I think thanks to the Miata crowd.
