BBS 16 x 7 , 16 x 9 wheel question
Hey folks, I came across this cool set of BBS Porsche wheels and I bought them on the spot. Can anyone tell me what they are? I figured a fellow Pelican might need them more than the storage room they were living in.
Front - 7J x 16 H2 KBA 40674 224 ET23 Rear - 9J x 16 H2 ET -2 2901007 Those are the markings on the wheel face. Any info appreciated ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yeah, pretty cool old wheels, even if they are not quite a matched set.
The 16x9s are early BBS-MAHLE, and the 16x7s are later BBS Type RA. Looks like I see date codes of '81 on the 9s, and '85 (or maybe '86) on the 7s. Spoke patterns are slightly different, but on wheels as busy-looking as those, it's not obvious. The -2 offset of the 9s is pretty aggressive for an SC/Carrera. Those will sit 17mm farther to the outside than the factory Fuchs 9". Might be a good fit on a widebody, though.

thanks for the info. I also noticed the slightly different look and markings. Also thought the offset looked pretty aggressive too.
