Very cool. Always good to see one of the old ones restored. Like rescuing a puppy from a kennel.

A wonderful find! For tires, consider Vredestein Classics. Please resist the urge to go low-profile or 16-inch.

What a beautiful find. All I kept thinking while reading the story was that it went to the right home. I wouldn't have painted it either! Thanks for sharing.

Those air cleaners look like the ones on the first 232. What's the year and VIN?

Amazing story, Patina. When you sent me the "cleaned up" photos, I didn't realize it was this same car. When I get down to your end of the country, you must give me a ride in this car.

That's fantastic; you are a very lucky man. Obviously the seller is elderly and could maybe use some cash at this point, but he is clever enough to have kept himself appraised of the market value for a proper car. A little dust doesn't hurt. You both did a good deal. Congrats.

Can you tell us what you did to get it running?
New oil, new battery, drained the tank, new carbs, etc?
