I've always told my wife that, if she has a flat tire or blow out, to drive the car to a nearby gas station or parking lot, EVEN if that means driving on the rim. I'm always amazed at the people that change their tires on the side of the freeway, especially those who do it just beyond an hill b/c you can't see them until you crest the hill.

And to think that was all because of one measly $.02 screw! You got screwed and that sucks (sorry, just had to go there!). Hope it works out alright and glad you weren't hurt.

Terrible
Mike very sorry about your loss but glad you're both ok. Out of curiosity, which way did the car go when the tire blew? Also it looks like it was the right rear tire. Is that correct?

For those talking about getting off the highway instead of the over far to the right, Think about all the poor cops, like Mike Marsh who have to stop people on the side of the road. Plenty of those guys get plucked every year by passing motorists, drunk or not. Thats pretty sad as well.
Oh for a good RarLy8 comment right about now.
