Is the Fuel Lid Lock assembly spring available?

My fuel lid lock spring broke, is the part available? I only seem to find part number 64450430901 that is for a 356, or the door latch spring that is part 91150433100. Any suggestions? Is the 356 part compatible or close enough to make it fit?

I needed a latch and the spring assembly as well. I ended up buying a gas door lid with the latch/spring assembly from one of the pelicans here (IndyPR). I bought the 84-89 set. He has 2 sets left and 1 of them is for a 65-83. Check with him to see if he has the door and the latch/spring assembly for that one too for you.

Good luck.

I ordered the 356 spring to try it out. It looks very similar in the pictures and it only costs $7.00. It is worth the try.

It looks exactly the same, I will try to install it this afternoon and see if it fits.
